Role Types

RAIDLOG.com users can be assigned the following user roles within a Project:

  • None: Project Team members with a role of None on the Project team cannot view or edit any RAID items on the project unless they are specifically assigned as the Owner of a RAID item.

This project role is assigned by default and is typically appropriate for most project team members who only need to view and collaborate on specific, assigned RAID items.

  • Viewers: Project Viewers are able to view all RAID items in the project. They cannot create, edit, or delete any RAID items.

The Project Viewer role is typically assigned to interested project stakeholders, sponsors, or customers.

  • Contributors: Project Contributors can View and Edit all RAID items on the project. However, they cannot create or delete RAID items. They cannot edit Project details and cannot manage the Project Team.

The Project Contributor role is typically assigned to key project team members such as technical leads or team leads.

With a Professional or Enterprise license, you can have unlimited Project Contributors.

  • Members: Project Members have the same level of access as Project Owners and can create, manage and delete RAID items. They can edit Project details and manage the Project Team. Typically, the Project Member role is assigned to Project Coordinators or backup Project Managers working on the project.

Only licensed Organization Owners or Organization Members can be assigned the role of Project Member.

  • Owners: Project Owners have full access to view and edit the Project and to create and manage all RAID items. They can also manage the Project Team and invite Collaborators. Typically, the Project Manager has the role of Project Owner.

Only licensed Organization Owners or Organization Members can be assigned the role of Project Owner.
