This guide will show you how to assign team members to risks on RAIDLOG.com. Understanding this process is essential to ensure effective risk management within your projects.

Prerequisites

To assign team members to risk, you need the necessary permissions to manage the project where the risk is located.

Step-by-step Guide

  1. Navigate to the Project: Start by finding the project that contains the risk you want to assign team members to. Click on it to open the project details.

  2. Locate the Risk: Within the project, navigate to the "Risks" section. Here, you'll find a grid displaying all risks associated with the project.

  3. Select the Risk: Click on the risk to which you want to assign a team member. This will open the risk's detail view.

  4. Assign Team Member: Now, you have two options to add team members as owners to the risk:

    • Add Existing Team Members: In the "Owners" field, you can select one or more existing team members from the drop-down list. These individuals will be assigned to the risk and will be able to view and manage it.

    • Add Placeholder Resource: If the person you want to assign to the risk is not yet a team member, you can add them as a placeholder resource by simply entering their name in the "Owners" field.

  5. Confirm the New Assignment: Once you've added the owners, make sure their names appear in the "Owners" field. You've successfully assigned a new member to your risk if they do.

Remember, managing risks effectively is crucial to the success of any project. Regularly review and update your risks and ensure they're assigned to the appropriate team members.
